Stem ball is machined directly from one steel bar. The ball with stem is usually used for high pressure trunnion ball valves or cryogenic ball valves. More processed and high processing difficulty, the cost is more expensive than the regular balls. Sometimes for lowing production cost, stems can be welded with balls.
